Thread: Blame game

Keep emotions in check.
Resentment, the number one offender.
Don't forget.

Do what I can to let it pass.
But, sometimes, I feel like
connecting foot to an ass.

It's sad...

My bad, I probably should add
the fact that some people are mad
at the traits I once had.

I'd like to blame my dad.
But if I had, I wouldn't care
to try to make folks glad.
I'd just stay inside my sketch pad.

It's full circle.

Resentments bruise
and leave you purple.
If grudges are the general,
pain is the colonel.

It's enough to make a guy
go back to smokin' herbal.
Yet, I try to make it up to
folks, I plan it in my journal.

Look, ma! Ain't it grand?

The tornado has ended.
The damage repaired by this man!
Not completely finished yet.

But I hope you understand
that he's doin' what he can with
all the power at his command.

Hold out your hand...

And I'll give you mine in exchange.
It may sound strange, but I'm
entirely committed to change.

Don't overwork your brain.
This isn't the same Jermaine.
He's working the plan that God
has arranged.

It sounds insane...

But Rome wasn't built in a day
and hope and pray these words convey
my thoughts that I aim to display.
I want to make it all right and
have my debts repaid.
