I wanted to show the many poets of AO what a completed poem looks like. I know my poetry is not the best, nor will it favor with many of you. I just want my fellow poets to take the time and write about something with detail and many literary actions.

Breathless For Life
Arteries and veins gasping for air,
Choking on Centuries of culture.
Asphyxiation of the essence
Leads to death of the soul.
Smothered in the new,
All history drained through a wound.
The proud river of life that was,
Is now thick and seeping.
No longer the red blood of love,
But now the enclosing pitch-dark of death.
The dried heart of blacks,
Crumbles beneath the weight of change.
