    Carcass

    A lifeless carcass
    Thrown, lying on the floor.
    What can mend it back to life?

    Pieces, shattered
    Memories scattered
    cutting me, whenever it’s held

    I still hold them dear
    Close to me
    Piercing it deep into my heart
    Watching it sink and red of dead passion a flow

    The fire is no more
    Cold as what a dead man would breath
    Warmness is long gone.

    I dare not look up anymore.
    I dare not stare at you anymore.
    I’m deeply ashamed as of my wounds.

    Must this corpse stand?
    Must I grab a hold of a new light?
    Open the door and see what is beyond?
    Maybe, just maybe, it will bring it back to as it were or differently?

    Possibilities of which the future hold are vast.
    Chances I may run away from.
    Opportunities that I don’t want to have to seek.

    Because it was there yesterday... and now no more...

    A singer eh.. ^^ thats cool... poetry is mostly writing about what you feel at the moment and savour that feeling

    I was dumped when I wrote this, yea... felt abandoned... ^^ and I had nowhere to turn back then, thanks to some friends I manage to spring back up :3
