Daisies of a Different Color

I awoke to your scribbled writing
with a post it hanging above my nose.

I layed there wondering what to think,
tucked my hair behind my ears and went to sleep.

The next summer I awoke in a bed of daisies.

I stood, my pajamas flapping with the wind,
the smell was heavenly.

I lifted my hands to the sky, sheilding
my eyes from the sun.

I stole part of the sky for you honey,
I think you'll like it even though
it didn't cost money.

Fast asleep I fell.

I awoke to your peace stricken face.

Watching your sides move up and down,
listening to your steady breathing,
enhaling in and out.

Your eyes fluttered open
splashing me with blue and green.

I handed you a piece of the sky and said
" I love you, I hope you like it, it didn't take
me long to get it."

You smiled, tucked my hair behind my
ears and said "let's never go to sleep."

Aw, sweet poem Fire! How you used daisies, a pieces from the sky to show each other your feelings and such. This was a creative piece. Nice job.

A really nice poem indeed!!! I like the imaginativness in it, the fact that you compare a a piece of the sky to love... so beautifull and so true!!! And waking up in the daisies, you've described that part so good that I just felt like going out and lying in the grass...

Do we have a hopeless romantic in the house? its okay if you are. This poem was great. Made me think of love and happiness. You should keep up the good work. Keep inspiring people to be happy.
