It hurts to pretend....
To pretend
That I don't see you,
That I don't want you,
That I don't know who you are,
Pretending in hope that you won't leave a scar.
Too late.
Those damned scars I hate.
Even more so the fact that they are unapparent.
There is a noise so shrill,
and that is my heart
paying the bill
for your stupidity.
For your hateful conductivity.
For your pity.
For your sanity.
My insanity.
My dignity.
Left in the wake of your con.
You never really loved me.
You loved the things I did for you and your spiteful glee.
You loved my love,
which I gave to you without a glove.
Not me!
You didn’t love me.
You loved the things that you got from saying you love me.
It's still hard to pretend you don't exist.
Even if I am pissed,
You do exist,
And you can't even begin to imagine how much I reminisce,
About how much I believed
How much I couldn't believe
That you would deceive
The one you said you would never forget
But the future is set,
And I guess I’m a memory.

Foolish beating
very cool poem rave those who deceive are always the ones that
never get that love they search for or need , this poem just really
explores that touchy place that seems to always hurt more than
anything , then you blame them like everyone does when things
seem to feel so wrong , people have been doing this for god knows how
long.
the poem was great and you really worrded this well i like it alot
I'll be the one to protect you from your enemies and all your demons
I'll be the one to protect you from a will to survive and a voice of reason
I'll be the one to protect you from your enemies and your choices son
They're one in the same, I must isolate you...
