Disenfranchised
Let me speak to you. Look deep in my eyes
when I say there's no need to be disenfranchised.
Don't corner yourself.
Please, don't run away.
'Cause I'm sure that there's
others who'd love for you to stay.
I know that it's hard, but please stand strong.
Because you and I know you did nothing wrong.
You may not think so,
but your family loves you.
Even if sometimes, one of
them treats you like poo.
And if they can't stop it, then just let 'em remain
unhappy, if they want to start actin' that way.
Yet, I know that it hurts
to lose someone close.
Especially if it's 'cause you
were down eachother's throats.
I've been there before, I've lost my best friend.
Because we couldn't stop arguing and fighting toward the end.
So hold on, and I promise
everything will be fine.
All wounds are healed in
a matter of due time.
**With so much negativity floating around, my head started pounding and wouldn't stop until I came up with this.**

Re: Disenfranchised
I loved it...made me cry in fact. Wow. It was fantastically written and as always had that little piece of comedy in it. :) Thanks.

Re: Disenfranchised
Good poem.
y'know... there could be 1,000 things that are falling apart around you. Some of the things are things that break on their own. Others are broken by others... and there are even somethings that YOU perhaps are breaking. Doesn't cease to amaze me when I watch which "things" you decide to fix.
heh... now ~I'm~ crying too...

Re: Disenfranchised
Thanks to both of you for your comments. I'm glad you two like my poem. I suprises me which poems you two choose to like and sorta-not-like. ^_^
