Thread: Drifting

Time as we know it moves at a snails pace
things slow to a halt almost as we walk
slowly by each moment wondering why,
things seem slow to turn as words are
slowly said.

Regret the things that have been said
or done unless the moment seems to
die or fade , so slow is my life that nothing
seems to workout right , something happened
when that moment passed things just slowed
down.

A lovers kiss , the embrace that lets you know
everything will be fine , there is no time or place
for things like this , like a wind blowing so gentle
and slow the passion disappears.

How should any lover be alone when there is
someone right there beside them , the betrayal
of a promise broken when a kiss made it seem
so real that words could never be formed , just a
simple kiss made the pact.

Undone is that promise when lovers stray from
what was a perfect match only now the promise
is a knife and the kiss a lethal blow to put out the fire
that made two lovers grow.

Slowly time goes by as each moment become a
picture in there mind , sad is the time when a kiss for
one falls to another's lips in a bliss that should have never
been , if only time could be a healer the lovers could see
there lives and rekindle what was took.
