Eight years

I’m sitting on my bed, looking
The curtains are blown open, unfolding
As the wind dances in the air, breezing
The moonlight shone in the darkness, glimmering

I help myself to the window stile
Somewhere on the outside world
I can hear a frog croaking and a dog’s howl
Weather in mid-September makes me shiver in the cold

Thinking of you makes me shudder
Thinking of you makes me sober
Taking my mind of you makes me ponder
How the things we used to have somehow crumpled

Eight years,
Eight times,
Eight holes,
Sealed into my broken heart

But I shall wait
No matter rain or shine
No matter thunder or rain
Till summer turn winter
To the ends of the world

Without you
A piece of me is missing
Like an unfinished puzzle
All my life I shall dedicate myself in search of it
For that single emptiness in me

So I shall wait
True to you
True to my heart
I shall wait
