Hello, everyone (Wow that's ironic I used the title of my poemlol). I would be very thankful if you commented on my poem. I don't like showing it to people. I like writing things. This poem I wrote two weeks ago , while I was trying to ride my little brothers bike.
I don't mind if you give me harsh comments or not. I just want people to see what they think about my poem below. EnjoyWell, lets hope you do.
Everyone
What does it mean to say everyone?
Who is everyone?
Is it wrong to say ‘everyone’ when you want to compare something to ‘everyone’?
But, we don’t even know everyone?
I’m I part of everyone?
Is it ideal to say, I can’t become part of everyone when I am referring to everyone?
Then if I am not part of everyone
Does that make me someone?
When I say everyone does that make me judgemental?
‘’Yes!’’
Then why do we keep saying –
Everyone
Is it because it saves time for description of a certain group of people we are describing?
Or is it just laziness?
Why does a someone blame everyone for something they have caused?
Can another person be part of everyone and be a someone at the same time?
‘’Tell me – everyone’’
Then, that makes everyone a victim everyday of their life
Without them noticing they have been victimised.
The first stanza was excellent and then it seemed you trailed off somewhat. Personally I believe "everyone" "them" and "you people". Are harmless figures of speech. But are they harmless. Or are they just another way for us to devalue the individual. This is the point you make and make well.
