False Love
Standing in the altar of an old church
Black eyes meet Hazel eyes,
Cold heart meets warm heart,
Fake lover meets true lover.

Memories of the past
Are being hardly reminisced,
As the story of fake love
Slowly begins to unfold.

It seems like yesterday
That I told him “I love you”,
Making a fool out of myself,
Knowing that I love him not.

Love can be learned
I thought to myself,
But trying to love him all this time,
I proved myself wrong.

I feel so guilty
Knowing that he loves me dearly,
That I can’t reciprocate
The love he needs and deserves.

Up to this moment,
Guilt is what I feel,
Knowing that all those years
I did not adore and loved him.

Now I find myself a perfect moment,
To tell him that I’m sorry,
From all those times
That made him believe that I loved him.

In my mind, I’m hoping
That my apologies will heal his heart,
That my apologies will make him
Let go a fake lover that I am.
