I see the pride in your stride
But I see the things that you hide
You are drowning in your tears
Being suffocated by your fears

In the night you never sleep
all you do is cry and weep
What nightmares haunt you in your sleep?
What are these secrets that you keep?
I see you lead I see you guide
But why oh why can you not confide?
You never relax you never sit back
What is this burden that you pack?
You never smile you never laugh
A pair of sad eyes does not tell the half

You offer empty pride
Belying the secrets you hide.
