Forgotten Lovers

They were once well known
Together for about a year

It was a shock to most
When they fell in love
However most already knew
How they felt about each other

At the time everyone wanted to know
How their relationship was going
Although they could tell
By the poems each wrote…

And then they stood alone
When their relationship fell apart

It was talked about for a while
By the ones who knew them best
And slowly they were forgotten
Like a rose loosing it’s last petal

They had their difficulties
Each have regrets
Yet they still love each other
Till this every day

And maybe someday they’ll come back
As the Forgotten Lovers
Who will always be
Together forever
