Four Faces

A pretty image for all to behold
This art of deceit embodied in your soul
Innocence, jovial or even depressed
Every mask u wear, I know you less

Everyone was convinced, so was I
Cause I actually thought I saw you in my eyes
That smile you flashed for all to see
Again fooled all, including me

No on knows the actual truth
That you secretly smile to yourself on the roof
What’s your motive, why is it that you do?
Perhaps to attract the attention of a couple or two

The path of deception hasn’t done you well
You’ve unknowingly created yourself a shell
No longer able to be the person you truly are
And you realized it all after going so far

Left alone in the dark corner, you hide
Knowing this time nobody will be on your side
So now I’m asking to remove your mask
As it’ll be the last favor I’ll ever ask

Hmmm... A very good poem... It's perfect, has so much emotions in it... so much pitty and anger... This would make anyone feel bad about wearing a mask.

I really enjoyed reading this poem and I'll be witing forward for the next one...

I love it so many people like this now a days sadly we meet a lot of these kinds lately, no one really willing to be themselves and burying themselves in it

Yes, thank you. I just felt a need to write this, after getting something like that from a close friend. I just hope we can patch things up again.

I love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Some how this poem feels like a summary of me in a way but it isn't but I still love it!!!! The emotions in this poem is like wow!!! I hope to see more!!! :D:

lol i liked it its good, like someone sad it has lots of emotion, but then again i mask is a metaphor about people who cant except wat they see with there own 2 eyes, its their world and everything shud be perfect. but love to hear more so keep on posting new peoms :)
