Wise old man that sits in a tree,
He told me that I’d be free.
As I wondered on and paid no mind,
I lived this life dieing a little inside.
I never knew the Lord or read his book,
I just hung on to the Devils hook.
Not knowing my life was a dead end,
Even though I had a money and a fabulous man.
Money cant buy happiness, or save my soul,
No way into heaven, no way, no goals.
The pain in this human heart builds up so high,
I begin to wonder, ‘Will I die?’
I pray to the Lord for what I have done,
I pray to the Holy Father and His Son.
Save me and this human infested soul,
So I wont be able to sell the devil this soul.
I see the light and feel alright,
I feel so good I begin to cry.
My soul is his to keep and save,
For it was he that my road he paved.
I thank the Lord, I thank he,
For he let me know what its like to be free.
