Thread: Glass of tea

What gave you the the idea to use the metaphor of tea? Its an interesting view to like at creation, very creative RayMe.

I do like how you look at the different aspects of creating tea, almost makes me want a cup of tea and reflect on what you have mentioned. Its a very creative piece indeed.

Although I did linger on referring sugar as them. Personally it didn't feel right to me. I felt like at first it was a metaphor for you drowning by bullies. Untill I read on a little more.

It was very descriptive and meaningful. I epecially like how you compared life to a cup of tea (which so happens to be my favorite drink, LOL).

Time has passed by like the grains of sugar,
Going by slowly then picking up speed as gravity pulls.
Many things have happened in between those times,
Some are sweet like the sugar and some bitter like the tea.

Best line in the entire poem. It's so metaphorical, so beautiful, so... GOOD! I'd have to say that this is one of the best poems I've ever read by anyone! Thank you for making my day with this very creative piece of work! ^_^ Kudos!

Yeah you know the people who pick on you and take things one step too far and almost drown you in a swimming or fountain. I don't know but that is the image that came into my head. Although it may not have been thought of like that but instead that the sugar represent evolution and the sugar evolves to mix with the water. But from a life a point of it represented bullying for me.

This poem is a "wow" .. different type than the usual ones ... but i wonder what things are considered as "spoons of sugar" in your life compared to a cup of tea! ... very inspiring

Spoons of sugar... sugar are sweet... i compared sugar to.. happiness in this poem... ^^ spoons of sugar meaning happiness given and brought by those near to me... little by little they make the tea taste sweeter.. thus creating a nice tea.. but too sweet it self is not good so i used tea... since tea is bitter... ^^ thank you dear clan member

and yes i was making tea while thinking about life..
