Have you seen me?
Have you seen me?
Reads the carton,
A mother wonders how the world can be so carefree,
When her baby boy is missing.
Have you seen me?
Reads the street sign,
Ignored by a passing girl, singing off-key,
She doesn't know that was once her.
Have you seen me?
Reads the screen,
As another photo comes cross the TV,
On a show dedicated to finding nameless people.
Have you seen me?
Reads the billboard sign,
Stranded in a fantasy, she's just a refugee,
She should be home by now.
Have you seen me?
Reads the cardboard,
A handmade sign written in vis-a-vis,
For a missing cat named Lucky.
Have you seen me?
Reads the sign on the street light,
Another child that could be a kidnappee,
But we won't know.
Have you seen me?
Another face without a name,
Another soul without a home.
