The obligatory clock strikes 5:50am,
and the radio begins to sing,
the beats and melodies tip-toe tango with the tune,
a tune I remember her humming just yesterday,

Rising steam from the warm shower head rejuvinates me,
breathing life into my lungs and revitalizing my weary muscles,
reminding me of the placidity and sweetness that flavored her cup of tea,

Stepping out, chilled air caressed the surface of my face,
hoping the numbing illusion could substitute the absence of her touch,
envious of her gentle and delicate fingers,

My daily conversations has seen no new corners and has made no new turns,
all that's left is the anticipation of the familiar ringtone,
hoping and wishing my ears could sit attentively to her narratives,

Sleep creeps up on me like winter nights now,
and my fever swells without her refreshing chilled touch,
I seek but only to see a pillow left vacant,
finding only that I am madly missing...
