    I'm hiding...

    Hiding from myself.
    Hiding the truth, hiding my pain.

    I take all my problems
    and stash them away.

    Pretending...

    Acting like there's nothing wrong.
    Yet stuck with problems all day long.

    Wishing...

    That I was someone else.
    Take your thoughts of me and
    just put them on a shelf.

    Numbing...

    Like a boat-load of novicaine.
    Make myself apathetic,
    so I don't go insane.

    I'm still Hiding...

    Hiding from the fear of hurting.
    Running away from my problems;
    Duck and cover! Something's burning..

    The thing I mostly like about this poem is, is how you wrote the poem!

    I liked the essence of you poem atomik_sprout. In times, it is an escape mechanism to hide the fears rather than facing it. I liked the way you put the feelings into writing, the emotions are clear. The structure of the poem is interesting, in a way that in short lines, the message is conveyed clearly.
