Historical Past ( A struggling Sum )

Our past is haunting our future today
stained marks not so easy to wash away
still the fight continues each and every day
as our past history reforms another game

Why is forgiveness a struggling sum?
as people rebuild the past, which is gone
apartheid was not the only war
think about it one second more

Maybe not a war but a struggle with a roar
race religion all of these was part of it all
world war two now that was a war
resembling the same as I tell you in a frame

World reflects only what Afrikaners have done
as Jews where tortured on the run
a resemblance of a mirror on the wall
this is the story behind it all

Place your hands on a book and read
recapture the history so you can see
a Holocaust of six million life's, in a blink of an eye
with starvation and disease as they work to there knees

Twenty one thousand is all it needs
that's the statistics of apartheid behind the scene
a racist conflict devastating to us all
but our future is still a struggling war

My feelings towards this saddens me more
as I live my life always locking my doors
the past dug up each single day
as racism evolves so ever more

Anger inside blaming me for the crime
why can't people just leave the past behind?
my future in despair of what happened over there
as I think of my forefathers, What have they done?
