There's this girl once knew
she had sixteen eyes of red and blue.

Upon her face she had shame,
for he was always there to make it rain.

I watched her crossing the yard
one evening, I said "hello."

She began screaming.

Shaken and hurt
I returned to my work.

I love you, I love you now and
today I told her. She looked at me, her eyes stained.

I walked through her house,
there he was on the couch.

He slapped her across the face
and told me to get lost.

I came back the next evening,
gun in hand and shot him down.

There she swung,
high above the world for all to see,
directly above her tv.

Silent sirens made their way,
if only she could be here, it's such a pretty day.
