The House

The House

Thunder clashes and strikes.
The house stood still in the dark forest,
on top of a gloomy hill.
Crooked and old.

It resembled an evil old man.
Stepping inside it makes the skin crawl,
and the hair raised.
It's cold and eerie.

The lightning causes flickering,
uneasy and unrestful feeling.
Never felt welcome once you are in.
Especially if you are by your own.

Alone you might be,
feeling watched all the time by a presence.
Is there anyone in the house?Hello?
You will shout out this question.

Your voice shall echo,
and it will dissapear in the growling thunders.
Would you walk in further?
Would you satisfy your curiousity?

Rain rages on.
The big mansion is silent.
All you can hear is the creaking sound the floor made,
and the loud bolts of light.

Walking further in,
it felt like the soul is slowly going out.
Regretting your choice,
there is no more way out now,the door is sealed shut.

The wolf is howling louder than the wind.
Moon is covered and darkness howls.
Shivering and worried.
Your inner mind shouts help on and on.

Would you jump out of the window?
Would you kick the rotten door?
How would you escape?
What if there is no escape?

Even if you could get out from the window..
Even if the door breaks...
Even if you can run away...
What if you keep stumbling with the manor?
Over and over again...

I love this poem, great work with describing- again ^^ made me imagine this house and all... The idea is great too...

And the parts where you give questions... great idea to do so... makes the reader get lost deeper in it...

Great work with this poem, really enjoyed reading it...

man i love this one a good horror poem
is hard to top and i think this poem really
shows the dear we all have though we want
admit it , for me though i would be the dumb
one who would go check the noise out lol but this
poem really is true what would you do if you were
there? that is a really good question
