hush little baby: the story
A mother all alone with her baby bearly breathin
The mother begging to the angel of death "please simply leave him"
"Rlease don't take my little Jamie, take me instead"
"Please I'll give you anything just don't leave him dead"
She cries alone gently rocking her poor baby.
The child could maybe stay alive,... maybe.
She cries some more leaving tracks on the his' face's grime
Wondering how much longer? how much more time?
The baby slow at first weakly started crying.
"Oh god no don't tell me he's already dying"
She cried at the fact his heart was actually possible to mend,
And at the sorry fact that there was no money or doctor to send.
He kept on crying, and she didn't know any way to reply
Except to rock him gently and sing him his favorite lullaby.
"Hush little baby don't you cry
mama's not gonna let you die
You're going to stay here with me,
There is still to many things for your eyes to see.
Follow your own path don't be lead
Don't follow my family, just cause there dead
Hush little baby don't you cry
mama's not gonna let you die
come one little baby please be strong,
You're so small your death would be wrong.
You must live to be 100 years old.
GO and explore the whole wide world.
Hush little baby don't... yout.. cry
AT least... now.. you'll get..to...fly
I'll miss you.. every single day.
In your name i'll always pray.
At leat now... you'll never be hungry
or have to grow up in this wretched country.
Little baby you know...you'll always be in my heart.
Until I see you again, and from this cursed earth part......
Hush....my...little.."
Re: hush little baby: the story
*feels eyes begin to tear*
Maybe its just because I'm a mom of two small boys... But that really hit me hard.
You pushed the emotional envelope as hard as you could here. This was so tragic, from begining to end you could feel the mother's pain. YOU put so much emotion in to this creation, that couldn't have been easy to do. I am unbelievably impressed.
Re: hush little baby: the story
thank you. i tried to make a sad story instead of the traditional happy love poem but i still wanted to keep it as emotional as any love poem would have been. thank you for your response. i am always wanting to know how my poems are developing by looking at peoples responses.
