A random poem I made a couple weeks ago. Enjoy.

We were no more than children
That dressed in dented armor
And killed the requisitions
To cease--to stop
For the sake of knowing
A somber surrender.

We were no more than children
That risked our lives--
Our souls--
To take vengeance on vengeance
And justify justifications
With no excuse.

We were no more than children
That gave life--
That gave hope--
That gave love--
That gave joy,
And gave death.

We were no more than children
That fought for righteousness
And killed the innocent.
