Wow well this was a sad poem.....but hey I loved it either way good job Ray!^^
PS: Read Legend's poem too in page 2~!!!
The Island a poet and you
Up in the sky as always,
brightens the land where i lay.
The wind passes by softly,
brushing my hair like a ghostly image of you...
The smell of the sea and the white sand,
the great things about living on an island.
Beautiful horizon soars far to the main land.
Waves calmly land on the lips of the shores and rocks.
People passes by and couples enjoys the calm breeze.
Everything seem slow and time almost freeze to me.
There i was under a tree and always have been,
watching them all with keen eyes and mean envy.
Leaning to the tree,
looking at birds flying free soaring up high.
I was so calm even there was an ant stinging my tigh,
I don't even feel the pain of the sting.
The rain cloud is not around,
Cloudy skies that cracks lets the light find a way down.
A friend passes by and waves then leaves,
I just smiled to please him.
Sighing long after a deep inhale.
I hate being lonely and weep on such a fine day.
I left the tree today,
with our names carved to it...hoping you will see it someday...

Good job keep it up RayMe
Cant wait to reed your next one
I realize its a somewhat of a love poem... And love is a very mature emotion. But prts of this poem... the imagery... seemed like it would do well with illustration, like a childrens book. Mind you... I have 2 kids, so Im always reading kid's books... I just think the images in this were so fairytale-ish, and peaceful... like a lullaby.
... Not Ever Again...
Lol ^^ yup it is..
xD really? maybe i should write children books.. yea...thats how it is in my island
and sure frirtz i'll do so~! thx for the comment~!
Reminds me of what i did a while ago when i thought someone i loved, loved me back and that we would be together forever... Thinking about it now brings back the memories.. anyway.. it was a lovely poem, sad but lovely. I liked it and hope you will continue to write some more.
