Hey there little guy
Just born into this world
Cute as a button
Precious as a pearl

I have to admit I'm a little jealous of you
The new life you get to live

You'll have two parents who love you
Something I never had
A chance to be innocent

You'll always have support
A home to come to everyday instead of just a house
Arms that will cradle you when you are hurt
A warm smile when you achieve

You'll have lots of aunts and uncles to spoil you rotten
I of course will be one of the worst in this respect
You'll be surrounded by love all your life
You won't be like me

You will know what your mother's face looks like
Your father will always come home to you
Brothers and sisters to fuss with
A whole town taking the utmost care to ensure that you're safe

I can't remember my mother's face
My father was crying the last time he saw me
I caused them so much pain

But you my sweet newborn will have the world at your fingertips
We'll all make sure you do

But I do have to say
I'm very jealous of you
