The poem reminds me of a soldier getting ready to to to war...he's telling himself to leave...or maybe it's a woman telling her husband to leave....that is the only way I can make sense of the last line.
But it is a good poem by the way.

And do not forget
MY love is enternal
Leave
To only come back
With the wounds
From the battle you have fought

The memories that cause pain
To live for today

Thank you Soulidiumgirl, I wrote this to honor my sis who is in the military and in combat at the moment.

i think that it was a well written poem. and im sure your sister would love it. it reminded me of when my cousin went to war. it brought back some powerful memories. i really really did like it though...
