Lost my Piece I lost my piece of love,
but kept my piece of mind.
Though, I'll admit for a while,
I lost my peace and pride.
I lost companionship,
but my heart is still in tact.
Even though I thought it left
and I would never have it back.
Lost my koibito,
but I kept my best friend;
and I'm sure that we'll stay
that way until the very end.
I also lost my light,
but found beauty in the dark.
No longer will I worry about
matters of the heart.
I lost my piece of love,
but kept my piece of mind.
Time to move around and
claim another as mine.

Lately--up until this poem was posted--I have had problems, as far as writing poetry was concerned. I hit a posting slump. When I did write, it was hot garbage (in my opinion), so the fact that you two like it so much makes me happy, proud and I feel privileged to have readers such as yourself.
