Thread: For Love

In the park where I dwell.
For this boy I love so well.
I see the girl on his lap. He says things to her he never said to me.

I ran home to cry on my bed.
Not a word to mother was said.

When father came home he looked for me left to right.
He found me in the still on the night hanging frome a rope.
He took his knife and took me down and on my gown he foung a note......

'Dig my grave and dig it deep.
Dig my grave from head to feet.
And on my grave put a dove.
To show the world I died for love.'
