"So lonely without you" Sitting on our swing as the seasons change, Holding your picture in my trembling hands Watching as my tears smear the glass, I can't hold them back any longer I try to wipe them away, But more just replace them As the news is being aired, I can hardly bear to watch it... "Scared to see your face" Other's ask me how i'm holding up, I smile and say everything's alright When in truth i'm in pain, So much pain inside My heart is breaking, When I think of you I remember the day you left me, And how much I cried... "You left to face that awful war" I die a little bit everday, Without you here to keep me whole I can hardly ever sleep, Because I dream of you Blood is everywhere I look, I scream out my pain I awake from the dream, With tear stains on my face... "All I see is your face covered in your own blood" Lost in between reality and fantasy, What is real and what is not I keep hearing your voice, But as I turn my smile fades cause you are not there Tears begin to fall once again, I catch a few in my hand as I cover my eyes I wish I could sleep a dreamless sleep, So I could forget for just a little bit... "That you are not here next to me at night" I wait by the phone, Waiting for the call to come I stare out the window, Waiting for you to drive up I wrap my arms around myself, Hopefully to keep myself together I breakdown and cry, I scream out your name begging to god... "Please bring them back to me soon" All my life, I waited for you to come in...to be with me Doors held wide open, Waiting for the day you came home...back to me My arms waiting for you to fill them, With your warmth and sweet scent...how I have missed you This place feels so lonely without you, Here beside me...in my arms... "Scared to see your face, If I did I could no longer live" As the days go by turning into months and years, I try not to lose hope in you I pray each day and night with all my heart, Begging god to keep you safe As I re-read your letter to me, I can't help but to smile a sad smile I hear a sounds as you walk in, I stare in shock at your smiling face... "I cry tears of joy as I jump into your arms, Finally your back Back in my arms, Holding me while I cry How i've missed you I keepin saying, As you hold me tightly You whisper how much you've missed me as well, Kissing me softly" "Welcome home my sweet soldier, I love you"... Yes it's been awhile since I wrote any new lyrics, writer's block is sooooo evil!! lol. Anyway this is about someone who's lover is a soldier and is at war. I tryed 2 capture the feeling of heart ache at not being with the one you love most. All the saddness and pain of not knowing if their alive or will they ever come home. So this is my take on what that feeling feels like. Please enjoy, rate and comment!!! ^__^ *bows*

I can imagine that how alot of people feel having their wives or husbands fighting in the war,scared to answer the phone or even the door cause there might be another soldier standing there waiting to tell them horrible news. I don't think I could stand to have my husband if I had one to be in the war. I know he was doing it to protect mine and everyone elses' freedom and I would be so proud of him for it,but it still wouldn't keep me from missing him and wishing he was home safe with me. As always this one is great.
