plowing through the sweet meadows of my life,

faithless and blind,
shattering my bliss like gunfire.
Love, you are cruel and frugal,
withholding my blessings,
like a nightmarish preacher for hire.
Love, you have broken me,
tamed my rebellious spirit;
I am the fly, you are the spider.
Love, you promised me the universe,
you said you'd be gentl and unconditional,
but love, you are a liar!

I like it, because that is how it is with me and this guy. At one point he loved me but I didn`t give him a chance and he moved away. Now he is back after about 6 years and doesn`t give me a second thought about being other than a friend.
God, I hate this because I really do love him.
