Love's Denial

Love,
Denied me since birth,
Elusive as a dove,
I hear their cruel mirth.

They laugh for what they have that I don't,
Their cruelty almost makes me cry,
Vowing that I won't,
Tears quickly recede and dry.

Hate replaces the sadness,
Their laughter, deafening in my ears,
Driving me to madness,
Fighting the tears.

Hatred forever dries the tears,
Madness cures the sadness,
Their laughter falls on deaf ears,
The antidote for loneliness.

Love flows within,
Hate flows without,

I have become a self-loving carnage.

I love the way u set out the poem. I can actually sense the frustration, anger and intensity. Especially the last stanza..... Alot of anger, very nice. :p

Finally.... a dark poem worth reading. Its all lovey dovey here on AO. Blah!! LOL.
