Lately, It would seem I've been pushing daisies,
stretching them from roots to stem.

What seemed so simple in those eyes of yours
never is.

Well, I've tried a thousand times to me the world
see it my way, but they've shot me down without
a sound.

So we'll stand here embraced, tears running down
our facem then we'll do it some other time once again.

I never thought it would be this way,
just me, you, and this empty world.

You've spoken for me things I never would
have thought to say.

Sometimes I hear you laugh in the dead
silence of my room while lying in the dark.

Sometimes I see you lying next to me,
eyes closed, breathing steady.

Sometimes the tears won't stop,
sometimes they just won't come around.
