Thread: Master of my Fate

Note: Someone I hold very dear to me is going through some things. I tried to put myself in his shoes when I wrote this. And really, I have no clue what goes on in his head...


You both are fighting over me.
As if you controlled my destiny.

One of you I dropped, the other ran.
Yet, today its all alone I stand.

You both can fight, and want me to choose.
But don't be surprised when I simply refuse.

Because to either one, I have no ties.
Haven't we all said our good-byes?

I'm not saying "go away", or if we are through.
But, there’s more out there than the two of you.

You cannot predict, and you wont dictate.
Because, I'll be the master of my own fate.
