She walks out the door for another day.
He’s seen her before but never this way
He walks beside her and sees her face
She stares down at the ground with a look of disgrace
Looking at the licks of red and shades of black
His hand turns red as he touches her back
She looks up in surprise with tears in her eyes
She seen who it was and hugs him and cries
He holds her in his arms and he wonders why
Why the girl who doesn’t lie
Why the girl that doesn’t weep
Why the girl that I always meet
Then she falls starts to shake
He pleads and preys to keep her awake.
Looking at the darkening grey.
Listening to the water rushing away
She simply slips away.
