Nightmares

Rest quietly in the darkness,
Only to be suffocated by sleep,
Die in this sweet bliss,
With the promise you can't keep.

Lay on the ground cold as ice,
Stare out to the horizon,
As your life is the price,
Try to run away from this,

Only to collide into Death's messenger,
She waits at Hell's door,
Her hand outstretched with that selfish smirk,
You try to scream as you lay on the floor,

You're pulled in by the demon,
You thought you always were,
Open your mouth, Try to shout,
As you fall into the fire,

Wake up and realize,
It was all a stupid nightmare,
But you won't be smiling,
When you find your hand bare,

Engraved with ashes,
From Hell's eternal fire.
Marked for life as they say,
It's the only way to pay.

it's sort of average for me....like Nympho said...u dnt have a effect of the readers... u had the description there n but u're not having an effect.....u manage to clinch tht effect u can make this a great poem
