Ode To An Olf Friend
I have awakened from your spell, revived and convalescent,
No longer surrendering to your will.
The shackles by which you bound me have been broken,
They lie on the cracked and weathered ground of the past.
Secrets from long ago reveal themselves,
Threatening to reclaim me.
But the pang of them affects me not,
For experience has shone light onto your true colors.
The illusion of a shadow on the wall
Is no longer of your countenance
But has taken on a new figure
It feeds off a new light
Think of me not, your simple mind
Does not deserve my company
(Old friend, I wish you luck.)
But not too much, since the time of mine
That you have wasted has left me bitter still.
