Only a Victim.

Even when I charish something,
I'd just give it away.
Like to gamble on the hopes,
That It would pay off someday.
I can't ask for it back now.
Can't change it now that its done.
My sacrifice wont make me
Anything more than a victim.

I hope to be loved.
But I fear its not meant.
Still I put myself out there,
Glutton for punishment.
Attracted to pain,
Guess I know how to pick 'em.
The ones that wont give their hearts.
They'll just make me a victim.

Yet, I wont give up.
Becuase Inside I am dying.
I may never be loved.
But I would die trying.
And he wont live a lie.
Still I try to convince him.
If I can't be his lover.
I can still be his victim.

I know exactly how you feel.. I too think all the same- I feel like just a victim too and a lot and it's not just about me trying to find the one anymore, it starts to seem like I'm enjoying this, I'm alwayst getting into new relationships and mostly come out just more hurt... It's sad, but it's life I guess... But stay sure the one is waiting out there and will come into your life...

I really love this poem, it's wonderful and perfectly explains how you feel.. A really nice work here!!! ^^

that was a wonderful poem...way to go it was very powerful and I can truly understand what you were feeling and its kind of goes with what I am dealing with now...good job I would love to hear more
