Get sick of hearing sirens break silence of night?
Do you weep at news of the latest gang firefight?

To bridge what is apart,
You must open your heart.

When you see kids go hungry and homes foreclosed does your soul tire?
When seeing the despair in others is your passion on fire?

There is one place to start.
You must open your heart.

If you think today is time for acts of good,
Than with your head held high by all means you should.

If you want change get smart.
Start with an open heart.

not many hearts are open tothe pains and sorrows
of others infact i find myself not really botherd by
it much its sort of sad but peope are just numb to the aweful
things.

I love the poem, it has a good meaning behind it. Opening your heart and caring for people sounds like a great idea. Until you get burned at least. :D
