Perception Living in a world that is undaunted by time
Life spins its silky web creating true beauty
As our minds embark on these cerebral vacations
One wonders what mind excavations can be dug up
History presents itself in all of our lives leaving footprints
Litted with broken glass of shatterd dreams unrealized
Hope becomes a fraction of how reality can be so frail
Hidden upon our final drafts in societies english class
Every ounce of our work/being is shown through heart
Motivation to exceed and expound predetermined expectations
Opens up limitations that have no bounds to be grasped
Freedom finally being released from it's caged confinement
Allowing ideas to begin flowing as smoothly as water
Truth becomes welcomed in the hearts and minds of few
Understanding that when the rich wage war it's the poor who die
Finally realizing that my voice is expressed through words
I titled this perception simply because I used the perceptions of real people so each stanza is someone elses view of life. Comments and critiques are welcomed.

Appreciate the critique Shini! I just wanted to try something a little different but not really stray away from my free verse style. I meet a lot of interesting people on a daily basis and to hear their views on life, simply captivated me and made me want to write this poem only as means to make people think. While I do think this poem is rough around the edges. I tired my best to use there thoughts and put them into to words that we all can understand.
