The closer I get
The farther I fall

The stronger I am
The weaker I become

The more intelligence I have
All the dumber is my downfall

The more love that I show
The less love I have for you

And although that may be true
I'm still in love with you

Our greatest fears can come
But, how soon will they?
Death can be gruesome for some
and others can be serene
but yet still others can be dumb

Either a life can be lost or saved
when the time has come for it
Or it can be as simple as bathed
in blessings or flames of hell

Life is to short for trivialities
and even for a few games
But, what about some simplicities?

But, as you get closer to it
what is it really?
