Reality

True beauty lies within these corpses
As a white flower blooms within a heart;
Being lost in this emptiness,
I have forgotten what put it apart
From all the rest and forced to grow in
such waste.
And yet, this defiant little flower pushed thru
Into this cruel and cold environment.
What heartache
it must be to be all alone in this world too.

If only it knew the lies it had to take
To feed its dying roots...But what could it do?
So desperate to survive, it drank the
poisoned water and
Now it wilts before my eyes;
Such a tragic mistake
Once like this white flower,
all innocent and true,
But now reality hits and I...
I don't understand

Reality is really cruel... I hate reality at times. I love your wording that you used to describe things as well. Good job, can't wait to read more.

Not bad, Reaper. I like the whole idea of a virtuous flower growing from death. This civilization is just a decaying giant filled with rot and poisoned minds. I like the ending. Once again not bad.

The last line, the stumble, captured my attention ^^ And how you linked it with the flower, tasting poison to survive, yes that really described reality. How cruel
