I came up alright, even though so far i've had a tough life
I've kept my head up and pushed through the pain and strife

And love can be the same, tryin' to find the right person
Sittin' on the couch, gazin' at the ceilin' and cursin'

Cause maybe i could have made the outcome turn out different
Shown how much i loved her, should've been bit more consistent

I could've bought her some flowers, didn't have to have a reason
Why did i neglect her, season after season

And why do i complain
Just cause it starts to rain
I'm creatin stress and strain
As i stop and probe my brain
I realize that to love is to gain

Cause it can keep you from insanity
Time to erase all of my vanity
Put her first and conquer the man in me

Hang tight when push come to shove
And with some assistance from above
I'm sure i'll recover all of her love
