Remembering an old rain

I remember the last time I smiled when the rain fell.
It was the time I was with you.
It was the last time that I held you.

My brown hair soaked down into my eyes.
My green eyes shining in the light of the lamps.
Our clothes sticking to our bodies,
As our lips soon pressed firmly into each other's.

The last time I smiled when it rained.
The last time that I slightly cared about being wet.
You in your white blouse and skirt.
me in my T-shirt and jeans.
only the rain between us in this embrace.

I sat there with my eyes to the sky,
watching as the rain fell.
It could only be the rain now,
that brought back my lovely memories.

If only these memories could be real again,
as real as the very rain that fell onto my brow.
If it never rained again,
could my heart exist anymore?

I wouldn't know...
But I do know that with each drop,
one less tear will fall from these eyes.
As long as it rained.

(Pardon ahead of time if I write a lot about the rain. I just need somewhere to vent now... and the rain is the only thing that brings me peace anymore.)

I think you're writing this to someone you love dearly *obvious right?*

You should really start writing a book called 'Rain' since you enjoy this weather really much :D :2thumbs:

In actuality, it means that i miss "that" rain. The main point of the poem was to tell of a time that i enjoyed the rain more than i ever did, and this is the rememberence of it. If you knew me enough to know what i'm talking about, then you actually would know that no such rain existed, and with this girl, it is imaginary. A small glimpse into my personal life there, but eh. It's one I'd keep for later in one of my books, if i ever wrote one.

Acutally... read the message that i left above this one, and you'd understand. Such a girl might have existed once, but this moment never happened. I pray for it to happen one day though. This is a rememberence of a wish, moreover than a true event.

anyway for me it seemed a sad poem but it's a very good one...
