Thread: River of Blood

Holding on too tight to things I care most about
Pushing them too far away, leaving me standing alone again,
Not sure of who to turn to because I do fear the future more than ever.


I'm cold and lonely, confused and lost
Staring at the stars tonight, looking for the answers,
I'm crying out with tears of sadness.


It's flooding my mind, I'm unable to stop the flow
These walls I built are cracking way too fast,
My constant crying is silenced to hide my feelings.


At your feet I seek the answers to this that consumes me
It's pulling me deep below the surface, I scream out in anger,
I've lost my one breath of air in the panic.


As it keeps flooding it's breaking my already cracked walls
This can never be stopped by the plugs I place in my heart,
I'm blocking up the gaps with old planks and nails that I kept incase of danger.


My heart is sore and bleeds too much to contain the pain I feel
The walls give in and debris floats away in the river of blood and pain,
At the ruins of the wall lies the 'no entry' sign washed in blood and pain I couldn't contain.
