Roll of the Dice

The dice clatter lightly as we empty the dice bags, swirls of cotton candy blues and pinks make up my set. I pick up the D20 and start to make my roll, the DM says hold up, don't roll just yet. Another PC walks in through the kitchen door. Now we have to start over from the tavern door. An Orc walks in swinging a great axe The Blood Magus Averian bursts from his veins. I rolled a natural 20 and he failed his fortitude save. Now She's covered in blood and ichor and then there's peace again.
