Running scared...
Scared of the last few days and
of the arguments we've had.
Afraid of thought of him and I
wanting to kill each other.
Walking tall...
Throughout all this negativity,
I still hold my head up high;
because I will not let whatever
happens in the future hold me back.
Laying low...
Hiding my thoughts from people
and cloaking my emotions, in order
to make people think that I am
doing just fine. But, I'm secretly
going crazy on the inside.
Biting my tounge...
Trying my best to watch my words
and to choose my battles. Doing
everything in my power to keep my
cool. Keeping my vocabulary in check
in order to keep the peace.
Still running scared...
Because, like the chicken with
his head chopped off, I can't help
the way I feel and I cannot sit
idle, while the world is crumbling
around me. So, I run...

I loved that part! ilove yor work! yeah i dont think any one can just "sit" and do nothing! Great job keep up the good work! can't wait for more!

The brakes do a really noce job of streching what seems to be a short poem. I like the use of simple sintinces to slow the reader and help them think more deeply.
Well I like the same part as highteck and rayme. It made me cry because despite the male voice I feel exactly like this. Fairly often. I really really like this poem.
You never really loved me/You never really cared/It was all just a game to boost your ego/Those feelings never really there/ I'm filing emotional bankruptcy/My heart can take no more debt/Theres no more "money" there to spend. === Besides tee hee SHE loves me!
