    Screw It

    I'm not gonna give Death another soul,
    You're not gonna get mine,
    Seducing me with a promise,
    A promise of eternal peace and rest.

    Yet I hear the voices of those near me,
    Pulling my soul away from the dark shroud,
    Towards once more to the sunlight,
    To feel the warmth of the sun,
    And the warmth of a loved one.

    I open my eyes to a world,
    The one i open and live in,
    No rest for wicked yet,
    I still got a life to live,
    Sorry Grim you're gonna have to come back another day.

    I'm here to stay and keep living,
    Kepp helping my friends,
    Keep loving the one close to me,
    Keep walking on till my time is truly up.

    very cool poem it shows alot of hope and i like this one'
    becasue it show people can defeat the inner demon no matter the obstical
    and that is what life truly is about, awesome jason i like this alot better
    than the other poem

    your poetry reminds me of N.Y. Soulja's. Everything was going so well until this stanza.

    The second verse seems like it's in the wrong place or context.
