Seashells and Sundrops

I'm lying in the sea, hoping it might
wash the feelings out of me.

Sundrops spread across my face,
my finger traces a cloud.

Beautiful scenery, bitterness coursing my veins.

The reality seems to fade a little by the
day, fear of falling away.

Looking to the sky, I see the ghosts of past
times emptying their thoughts to rain on the
earth.

The road splitting down the middle, caving in
and collapsing, bruising the land.

Should I be dreaming, what would be the
right words to say?

If only to see your smile,
feel the coolness of your breath against my skin,
run with you hand in hand against the wind.

I fear I may be falling away...

that is very beautiful, i get the feeling you are talking of love, my favorite line would be the line:Looking to the sky, I see the ghosts of past
times emptying their thoughts to rain on the
earth...
it sounds so beautiful like something unexplainable...
