..People said I wouldn’t make it this far.
They told me I would be dead by now.
Though I’m still very weak I can live like a normal person.
Not cooped up in a hospital.
    Though now a year later.
    I’m back.
Now I’m told 2 weeks my sickness has gotten over there help.
So I now lie in bed wondering why now? Why?
But I guess every one must go at some time.
    What’s that light?
    Who are you?
Never mind that your home now.
Come on its fine everyone else will be fine you can now move on.
So gave me your hand so we may live together forever.

A few spelling errors. The flow was nice and the content was simple and sweet. Good job.

Equinn this is a very touching poem. As for I can relate to it. It reminds me of my grandfather before he passed away. For his last words as I recall being told were "I'm not afraid they are calling for me to come home." Thank you for reminding me of him. It's been so long since I thought about him and I feel bad about that but your poem has touched me so much. You did a great job and I hope you continue because I enjoy reading your poems!
