Thread: Snow

Looking out my kitchen window,
I can see nothing but snow...
It covers everything and erases
everything that touches the earth
like God's bottle of white-out.

I think to myself, coffee in hand,
why won't it snow in my mind?
Let the flakes fall and turn my mind
in to a blank slate--undo my memories
and let my mind grow cold as winter.


Let the snow bury my sorrow
and hide it from the world.
Cover this old wound from the
past with winter's icy patch...

Let it pile up higher and higher
until there is nothing left to see.
Hide all my old scars and smother my
fears with your arctic blanket.

Clear my mind with your natural
correction fluid and turn this
burning heart of anger in to an
icy tundra full of nothingness...

Cover everything and erase it,
for I don't wish to live with these
memories any longer...
